The time you spend on bringing a weakness up from below average to average will diminish the time you could be spending improving your strengths. I find that people who spend lots of time working on their weaknesses are those who do not know what they want and therefore they feel the need to be good at “everything”. The reality of life is that you will never be good at everything. Wouldn’t it be much more productive to figure out what you want and then work only on those things that push you in the direction of your dreams? The only weaknesses you should be spending time on are the ones that are standing directly in the way of you getting what you want out of life, and even then, you should only do so if you cannot find someone else who has those strengths to help you. Instead of working on your weaknesses, start working on your strengths today and use them to get what you want.
