At the office doing a few things with Steve, GMan, and Charlie. We are gonna watch some film at 3:15 with a few traders. We are putting together some new materials for Advanced Training and reworking one our websites. I am done with most of my part of that work. So now I starting to think about next week. And I do this every Sunday before the start of a week. So I just wanted to share some things that I am thinking about that will affect next week.
On Friday GS and AAPL did not trade very well into the Close. They were kinda weak into the end of the bounce. And the reason for this might be what Steve blogged about earlier this week. If you are a HF or Mutual Fund and you need to raise cash for redemptions you must sell. And what are you selling these days? There is not much else to sell but the best companies. GS, AAPL, GOOG, RIMM, JPM. Maybe these stocks will be the weakest into future bounces if redemptions are still prevalent.
Obama announced a huge new stimulus package over the weekend. How will the market react to this news event? What will the market dislike about the announcement? What will it like? Can we start to track patterns based upon this jobs announcement?
Will there be more rumors about a bailout for the auto industry? At first the market reacted very positively to the possibility of a bailout. Now the deal is stalled with the hope of a December deal.
Will we start to hear some rumors about our best banks, GS and JPM, being accumulated by a reputable investor? RIMM received a boost from news that Soros bought a large position in the company this week.
Was Friday the bottom? We had a huge amount of volume into the downmove on Thursday. And we had a huge amount of volume into the Close on Friday. Will we look back in a few years and point towards this as the bottom? Violent upmoves with significant volume must be respected at these levels.
I will rip through a bunch of stocks today. I will be searching for levels. I will look for stocks that did the best into the Close on Friday. And I will develop a list of stocks to be in if we see continued strength.
Ok have to help GMan with a few things for one of our websites. I will continue to be thinking about tomorrow throughout the day. I will take note of how the Asian markets Open and trade later in the evening. How will I make money tomorrow? What will be the best stocks FOR ME to trade tomorrow? That will be my focus.
Oh and also I will be watching the BIG GAME today with friends. Which big game? UConn/South Florida of course.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Best of luck with your trading!

If UConn made a field goal against Rutgers they would have probably been Top 25 going into the game. USF is fast. Fast on defense. Fast on special teams. Fast on offense. UConn just lost to a faster and perhaps better team. I was very impressed with USF.
I appreciate your remarks about our blog. And very happy you are enjoying them.
