Couple of things….I’m reading my way through The PlayBook and felt I should send this GIF along…. Don’t know if I should laugh or cry at the garbage I trade. Again, my background over the years was to make $ trading the crap. its where I had an edge….. Obviously I no longer want to trade this way, hence reaching out to you….the only good trade was LXU. In-play. and never had enough size nor conviction. Oh well, there’s always Monday.
I grinded all day Friday for (a nice profit).
I received this note from a veteran trader in Toronto. I wanted to share it with the trading community because it offers a vital trading lesson.
Don’t ever feel like your trading strategy that you trade with edge is “garbage”. It is gold. There are no proper ways to make money in trading. There are no ways undeserving (assuming you are not violating laws).
I wrote about this in One Good Trade. If you receive a check trading in the market, and you take that check to the bank, they will cash it. They do not ask what trading style you used to make it. They do not say, “Oh I am sorry the stocks you traded are not worthy.”
If there is a way you are trading with edge in the market, be proud of it. Embrace it. Do more of it. Do more of it larger.
Let the Financial Media Entertainment Complex pass hours and hours of mythology about how you are supposed to make money. Maybe they can ask Ackman to come back on and tell us more about his “conviction” in VRX. You just keep making money by doing what you do well.
