Good one !
I am still a retail trader and I started to improve once I stopped trading the opening and trying to scalp it with my standard platform, in some moment I understood that waiting more time (some times between 20 min and 1 hour for a setup) trading less and doing more swing trading I really had more edge than trying to compete with those high speed algorithms on the opening and trying to micro scalp (commission were eating me alive!), Mike is right you need to find your edge and do more of what works for you, a lot of documenting/reviewing/auto feedback helps a lot, thanks for these fabulous videos!
Thxs so much for sharing this valuable anecdote that led to you trading profitably. Stories shared like this are very helpful to the trading community. I stopped scalping for awhile and only recently started again because of the elevated VIX. But as we mentioned, our connectivity is superior and we have access to many more routes. Again thxs for sharing!
