On Friday I sat on a panel at StockTwits Camp at the NASDAQ MarketSite to discuss Reading the Tape. I was joined on the panel by @tickerville, @stevenplace and @howardlindzon. Here are my ten observations from Friday:
1 ) @stevenplace is GINORMOUS.
2 ) @tickerville is so smooth he could replace Brian Williams on NBC at any moment.
3 ) @howardlindzon has the coolest glasses in the biz.
4 ) @alphatrends is the rock star of the StockTwits Community.
5 ) GMan draws the most interest from the ladies.
6 ) StockTwits engendered months of loyalty from its hosts by bringing in pizza at the afterparty (traders love free pizza!)
7 ) @Nasdaq is an awfully cool venue for an event!
8 ) There are still too many traders who do not have the skills to Read the Tape.
9 ) All involved talked about the grind of trading, the hard work necessary, and asserted success does not come without sacrifice.
10 ) @gregormacdonald said it best about those at the StockTwits Camp afterparty: “looks like a great team to me.”

Now I’m 6’7″, which is a pretty good size, and it probably caught a lot of people off guard.
But you haven’t met Andy Swan, he’s got 2 inches and about 40 pounds on me. So it’s all relative I suppose.
