Mike Bellafiore will be speaking at Indiana University to potential up-and-coming traders. There has been a significant interest in trading among college students. SMB just started an in-house internship for college underclassmen to take our training program during a five week summer session. In this new age of trading, students have an edge if they can develop the skills early on.

Best of luck; I’m sure it will be well received. Back in the day, I took a graduate level Agricultural Economics course solely because of its limited look at hedging and futures markets.
Recently, you’ve discussed the lack of formal trading programs in higher education. I submit that traders are viewed with disdain if not outright disgust by a majority of college administrators (aside from their capacity to donate, of course) and establishing any such program is an uphill battle.
You guys caused the financial crisis, after all;)
But if you couch it as carbon credit trading, they may well roll the red carpet out for you.
I speak for a whole bunch of us at Indiana University when I say that we are very excited to have you. It is amazing for me to think of all the fortunate events that led up to this. I can’t thank you enough for your help in making this happen. See you soon!

It’s finally done. Thank you Lance for setting up the details.
This is the day I have been waiting for.
I love this post, haha!
