I was in 7th grade walking into study hall seeing WTC on fire. I naively asked “What movie is on TV?”, I soon found out. It’s sad to think how many talents were lost, thanks for the recap.
Can’t even imagine that. I was only in 5th grade when it happened and we didn’t know what the WTC were. All I knew was something bad happened and my mother picked me up from school crying. Was surely a strange day that still gives me the creeps…

So Ironic….Was rereading THIS part/chapter just last week! Wow. What are the chances that this news hit a few days later and you post this?

Yup. Sophmore year in High School. I was in my 2nd Period class before school was called off. It was about 9am and and even from 164th St. in the Bronx (we all climbed above buildings to peak), we can see some of the smoke. Horrific clips that day. It’s tough trading ‘bad news,’ but it’s our job to trade with the given information. This was a good section of the book.

I think there’s a trading lesson to be learned from your reaction to seeing the plane hit. When you see extreme weakness in the markets, either get out of the way, or short into the momentum. Definitely don’t just sit and stare.
